Company Green Beans

Have ready: 4 cans whole green beans
Salt and pepper, to taste
2-3 slices bacon
1 cup brown sugar
1 T chopped onions

Put 4 cans drained whole green beans in boiler. Add water to cover. Salt and pepper to taste and cook about 30 minutes. Cook several slices bacon then remove bacon from skillet. Saute chopped onions in bacon grease. Add about 1 cup brown sugar. Stir until all sugar in moistened (might have to add a little oleo). Put drained beans in pyrex baking dish. Add sauteed onions to brown sugar mixture. Sprinkle sugar mixture over beans. Crumble cooked bacon on top. Cover and warm in oven for about 30 minutes. Serves 6.
