| Brownie Cake With Icing |
| Have ready: | for the cake. |
| 2 cups flour | |
| 2 cups sugar | |
| 1 t. cinnamon | |
| 1 t. soda | |
| 1 cup water | |
| 1 stick oleo | |
| 1/2 cup Wesson oil | |
| 4 heaping T. coco (or 3 1/2 T. chocolate syrup) | |
| 2 eggs | |
| 1/2 cup buttermilk | |
| 1 t. vanilla |
| Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and soda, mix well. In a double boiler, melt oleo, add Wesson oil, water and coco (or syrup). Beat into dry ingredients. Add eggs, buttermilk and vanilla and mix. Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350. |
| For Icing: | 1 t. vanilla |
| 1 stick oleo | |
| 4 T. coco (or 3 1/2 T. chocolate syrup) | |
| 1/2 cup milk | |
| 1 box powdered sugar | |
| 1 cup pecans |

In the same double boiler, melt oleo, vanilla, coco (or syrup) and milk. Add
powdered sugar and pecans. Stir well. Stick holes in cake with toothpick and pour
icing over cake while hot. |
